Attendance is imperative for consistent progress and will be taken at the beginning of every class.
If students know in advance that they will be absent from class, it is their responsibility to let their teacher know prior to that missed class. If a student is going to be absent due to unforeseen circumstances, please call the studio and leave a message. We ask that all sick students stay home and take care of themselves. If a dancer is injured, they should come to class and observe. This way they will continue to learn from a new point of view and not fall behind in choreography, spacing, or general teacher critiques. There will be no prorated tuition, deductions, or refunds for missed classes, regardless of the reason.
Missed classes may be made up any time throughout the year. Make sure that your make up class is of the same dance style as the class you missed. For example, attend a ballet class for a previously missed ballet class.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your class time. This gives dancers a chance to store dance bags and outside shoes and use the restroom before entering the classroom. Missing warm up due to tardiness may result in injury and is disruptive to the class.
Withdrawal must be communicated to he front desk. No other form of notice will be accepted.. Please note that simply not showing up to class does not cancel your child’s enrollment or tuition.
Your registration fee and tuition fee is nonrefundable. Costume fees will not be refunded, as a single costume cannot be canceled once we have placed the order. You will still receive your costume when it arrives from the costume company. Our office staff will call you to let you know your costume is ready at the studio to be picked up.
If at any time it is necessary to cancel classes due to bad weather, there will be an announcement on the website and a recorded message on the answering machine by 12 o’clock noon. In addition, a mass email will be sent out to all families with an email on file. Classes can be made up in future weeks, depending on dancers’ outside schedules. Instructors and/or office staff will be able to provide an appropriate make-up class option for each dancer.
Before & After Class Care
CEDA is not responsible for providing before or after class care for any student. Dancers are not to be left at the studio for excessive time periods. We ask that parents of children under the age of 6 stay at the studio while class is in session. During class, your instructor cannot be responsible for changing your child’s shoes or taking them to the bathroom. If something comes up that cannot be avoided, please speak to the front desk before leaving so that we are aware of what is going on.
Tuition is due before the 28th of every month
Late fee of $15 applied when not paid by the 28th
Returned checks $30 late fee applies
Tuition payments are not refundable and missed classes cannot be pro-rated. This also takes into consideration 3 snow days per day of the week. Missed classes can be made up in a comparable class as long as arrangements are made with Nicole or Alyssa within 5 days of the missed class.
Private Lesson Cancellation Policy
Out of respect and courtesy to teachers and staff, we require 24 hours notice of cancellation for all private lessons. Last minute cancellations and no-shows will charged the full private lesson amount. No refunds or make-ups will be allowed. After 2 no-shows your standing private lesson appointment time will be forfeited and given to the next person on waiting list. To cancel your private lesson, you must email or call CEDA Office to notify of the cancellation. You may additionally contact your private lesson instructor if you wish, if you have their contact information, but you MUST notify the CEDA Office.
